Didn't do much today. I watched The Sheep Detectives last night stretching into this morning and went to the grocery store at like 5am to pick up mostly sweets. I did pick up stuff to make guacamole which I'll do in about an hour or so when I get hungry enough to eat dinner. I should probably throw the leftover chicken out after, even this is pushing it. Just before sitting down to write I decided to do a lower body workout. Yikes. I want to get my knee looked at by a physio. It feels very weak and it doesn't seem to be getting stronger. There's also the pain in my groin from surgery that doesn't seem to be getting better.
I walked to the library to turn in my book and unless it miraculously cools down to at least 78 I won't be going for a run thank you very much.

I finished the Etch-a-sketch project. Or at least came to a point where I feel comfortable ceasing work on it for a while. There are still features to implement and the page could be more stylish- or stylish at all I suppose. But the core functionality of the script is done. I wasn't able to run all of my workout today. I was trying for a sun 9 minute mile but my pace was off. I did the first kilometer at I think 8'56" but slowed down by the end to 9'23", two seconds away from a PB. Humiliating. I think I'll cheat on my rest day and take another attempt at it. I might look at some lower body workouts tonight to find a good one. I suppose I need to figure out what to register it as on my Garmin. I need to really buckle down and read a ton of Infinite Jest tonight. I'm catching up, slowly but surely.

Finally got a good night's sleep. Paid some bills and considered seeing a Supergirl before deciding against seeing it alone. I finished Strange Buildings, it was fine. I keep hoping Uketsu will top Strange Pictures, but I think it's in vain. I want to run today but I need rest. It's for the best as tomorrow's my long run. Infinite Jest is good. I'm at the part where it's listing James O Incandenza's filmography and decided to take a break to change my router's name to reference the book. Year of the ASUS RT-AX55 Wifi Router here I come.

My body is so fatigued from burning the candle at both ends. I wasn't able to finish my run today; I got maybe a mile and a half before calling it. My watch died again so I went to the store and picked up a Garmin Forerunner 165. I'm excited to use it in a couple of days for my long run. I went into work early to finish some paperwork and got off late so I didn't really get a chance to catch up on all the reading I wanted. I am almost finished with Strange Buildings, I'll probably finish it tomorrow. I'm off to bed now- by the way, I still need to finish the Etch-a-sketch project. Maybe on Wednesday I'll have time.

Hit the track early in the morning to do some speed work. I was huffing and puffing by the end but I made it. Work was really slow tonight but I got lucky with a couple of tables. My plan is to finish the Etch-a-sketch script tonight. I'll polish it on my days off, but I want to get the logic locked in. After that I'll try and get back on track with Infinite Jest.

Woke up at 9 to do laundry and promptly fell back asleep. Business was slow, but I did okay. I'm going to work a bit more on the programming project I was doing last night and then maybe read before bed.

Stayed up all night and watched The End of the Tour with Jason Segal and Jesse Eisenberg. I thought it was okay. At around 5am I went to the park and started my run. When got maybe half a mile before I checked my watch and realized it had quit on me. It made me so mad; I wanted to chuck it into the pond. I refrained from doing anything rash, but I'm buying a new watch as soon as possible. After that I went to sleep until it was time to work. I didn't get very much done today as a result. I got my new ranking at work, it's pretty good. I'm gonna take a stab at this programming problem that eluded me last night and then read a bit before bed.

Slept in until 2pm. Don't know what I was thinking staying up as late as I did last night. I haven't really done anything yet. I'm about to start working on reworking the Rock Paper Scissors project I did to add a GUI to it. I read some of Infinite Jest, but not enough to really make a dent in the defecit I'm running right now. I'm going to wait to do my strengh training until a few hours after dinner. Oh, I ended up playing Magic last night and won two games. It was fun but every time I play I get a dozen ideas for new decks of cards I can buy for my current decks and I shouldn't be spending money on card games right now.

Woke up at 6am and hit the park at around 6:30. The plan was to run 2 miles at a conversational pace, 1 mile at 11 minutes per mile, and another 2 at conversational. What actually happened was I ran the mile in about 10:15 then made it less than a quarter of a mile before getting tuckered out and pausing workout to rest on a bench.
I wish I could tell you that I finished strong, but after getting up I couldn't bring myself to jog anymore, so I walked the last 2 miles.
I got home and worked on some javascript lessons before reading a chapter of Strange Houses. I still need to read another chapter and around 20 pages of Infinite Jest by the end of the day. For lunch I made Spaghetti with homemade marinara and ground turkey. I cribbed Internet Shaquille's notes for the marinara. It turned out well. I didn't have crushed tomatoes like I thought, so the sauce was made with regular tomato sauce, but the food could always be better.
Tonight I'm playing Magic with one of Randy's friends. I need to remember to get a picture for my photojournal. That's it for today; I have to read.
